FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — The first snowfall of 2026 came almost immediately for Southern New England, with most of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts waking up to snow squalls that left accumulations of 1 to 3 inches on the ground Thursday morning.
The Pinpoint Weather 12 team says that while the snow is over, high wind speeds and quickly dropping temperatures mean the region is in for a gusty, frigid evening.
