ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) Wednesday’s Roanoke Fire and EMS Class 25-2 graduation welcomed eight new members to the team. That puts the total number of operating staff at 251, meaning the department is at full capacity, with two extra bodies on overhire status.
Chief David Hoback said this is the first time in a while that Roanoke Fire and EMS has achieved that goal, and he’s excited that every location in the city should have enough people.
