WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) -The New Hanover County Schools Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 5 p.m. to discuss the exceptional children’s programs and their funding challenges.
The board will review the program serving 3,293 school-aged students with special education and related services, representing 13.9% of the student population. That percentage is above the state’s 13% funding cap.
