Meet Polar, a three-year-old, 88-pound Great Pyrenees mix with floppy ears, a sweet face, soulful brown eyes and a beautiful tan, blonde and white coat who has been waiting in the shelter far longer than any dog ever should. Polar doesn’t demand attention; he hopes for it — the kind of dog who would happily rest by your side, follow you from room to room just to be near you, and love you with his whole heart without asking for much in return. Because Polar has been in the shelter far too long, he’s been named one of the SPCA of Texas’ “Longtime Lovables,” which means his adoption fee is $0. No cost. No catch.
