The first fatal crash of 2026 reported in El Paso happened just hours into the new year, authorities said.
The crash happened about 2 a.m. on Thursday, Jan.1, on Gateway North and Sean Haggerty Drive in the Northeast, El Paso Police Department officials said in a news alert.
