The Gwinnett County Police Department is offering a program designed to empower women ages 16 and older with practical self-defense skills. The Rape Aggression Defense course provides a comprehensive approach to personal safety through education, practical techniques, and confidence building.
The 12-hour self-defense course consists of four, three-hour sessions that focus on risk awareness, risk reduction, and risk avoidance. Participants learn through lecture and hands-on tactical defense techniques tailored for women of all fitness levels and ages. The course culminates in a live simulation exercise, allowing participants to apply their new skills in a controlled environment.
