Susquenita School Board opened its Dec. 1 meeting with a sweeping vote to move forward on an $8.9 million guaranteed energy savings project that district officials said would lock in construction pricing while targeting annual utility savings.
Board members approved an initial guaranteed energy savings agreement with Quandel Energy Solutions in the amount of $8,905,155.
Quandel representatives told the board the scope focuses on work at the elementary, middle and high school buildings, including flooring replacement in select elementary areas, HVAC upgrades and replacement at the middle school, ceiling grid and tile replacement where drop ceilings exist, hallway and classroom lighting replacement, and exterior facade painting at the middle and high school buildings…
