Rochester and Geneva get part of state’s Climate Smart Communities Grant to curb climate change

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester and Geneva will receive grants from the state’s $22.7 million Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) funding to address climate change initiatives.

It stems from the DEC’s Climate Smart Communities Grant program, aiming to help various communities across New York State address climate change and resilience to it.
