Brazen ATM theft leaves convenience store in ruins

WHITE SETTLEMENT, Texas – Shortly before dawn on Christmas Eve, a hurried and heavy-handed attempt to steal an ATM left a trail of shattered glass and unanswered questions for investigators.

Police in White Settlement, a small city about 10 miles west of Fort Worth, say two men used a stolen SUV to try to rip an automated teller machine from the front of a convenience store.
