COWBOYS FALL IN HEARTBREAKER TO WAKELAND, 68–65

Coppell looked sharp and in control for much of the afternoon on January 2, but a tough stretch in the middle of the third quarter and a dramatic finish allowed Frisco Wakeland to escape with a 68–65 win in a nail-biter.

The Cowboys came out confident and aggressive, moving the ball well and attacking the paint to build early momentum. Coppell scored 17 points in both the first and second quarters, matching Wakeland step for step heading into halftime.
