‘Pawsitive’ impact: Nearly 2,000 animals fostered by Humane Educational Society in 2025

Nearly 2,000 strays found a new home in Chattanooga in 2025 thanks to the work of the Humane Educational Society.

The non-profit released its 2025 impact report on Friday, updated with new numbers on the service they provide across Hamilton County.

According to the report, in 2025, HES had:

  • 2,955 intakes
  • 1,793 Adoptions
  • 704 Transports
  • 1,801 Spay/neuter surgeries
  • 146 Special needs cases

The report says 1,978 animals were also fostered through HES in 2025.
