Woman arrested after drugs found hidden at Virginia jail

VIRGINIA — A 35-year-old woman is facing a felony charge after authorities said concealed narcotics were discovered inside a medical brace at a regional jail in Albemarle County.

According to the Albemarle County Police Department, about 100 sheets of Suboxone were recovered during a drug investigation initiated by staff at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. Police said the Suboxone was hidden inside a medical brace that had been left at the jail’s front counter with staff.
