Gospel fest debuts in Myrtle Beach with performance from Grammy-nominated artist

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — The Myrtle Beach Waves of Praise held its first-ever Gospel Fest on Saturday evening.

Attendees enjoyed live performances from dozens of artists, including Grammy-nominated gospel singer Luther Barnes.

“This is the pop-up edition of The Waves of Praise,” Reggie Dyson, an event prompoter said. “We have so many artists, you know, that applied and tried to perform last time. So we just decided to come together for the community and the region. This is the first year we did the winter pop-up, and we got us a jam-packed house tonight.”…
