Norristown council accepts public works director’s resignation

NORRISTOWN — The Municipality of Norristown ended 2025 with a vacancy after Norristown council members accepted Public Works Director Thomas Odenigbo’s resignation.

The decision came during a Dec. 22 special meeting when council members voted 5-0 to approve Odenigbo’s resignation. Council members Jasmine Griffen and Will McCoy were absent.

“I think, me personally, we’re going to miss a very valuable resource with him leaving. We’re going to have a difficult time trying to replace him, but I know that’s something we have to do. I wish him the best on his future endeavors, but it’s definitely a loss for Norristown,” Councilman Dustin Queenan told MediaNews Group…
