While 2025 was a good year for Philadelphia with a big reduction in homicides (down 15%-18%), the City has also seen a spike in domestic violence with in increase of 20% in reported cases. On Inside Story Joanna Otero-Cruz, the Executive Director of Women Against Abuse, and Adam Geer, Philadelphia’s Chief Public Safety Officer, joined Tamala Edwards as Newsmakers to discuss the crisis and the efforts actively underway to reduce the violence.
