Foster homes needed as Oconto Area Humane Society begins kennel upgrades

OCTONTO, Wis. (WFRV) – The Oconto Area Humane Society is asking for temporary foster homes for some of its dogs as construction begins on improvements to its kennel area.

Shelter officials said in a Facebook post that work is scheduled to start Monday, January 5, and is expected to last about a week.

During that time, the humane society hopes to place some dogs in foster homes to reduce stress and avoid keeping them in kennel environments while construction is underway.
