Springfield, Missouri – An unusually warm January pattern is taking hold across the Missouri Ozarks and far southeastern Kansas, bringing several days of well above normal temperatures before rain chances return later in the week.

According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, highs climb steadily through midweek, starting with upper 40s to mid-50s Sunday and rising into the low to upper 60s by Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday looks to be the warmest day of the stretch, with highs pushing into the mid to upper 60s across much of the Ozarks, more typical of early spring than early January…
