Hillsboro house fire rekindles after leaving one hospitalized, killing at least 4 pets

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — After a house fire in Hillsboro left one person hospitalized and at least four pets dead Saturday night, officials say the house caught fire again the following morning.

Around 9 p.m., Hillsboro Fire and Rescue crews first responded to the 2200 block of Northeast Sunrise Lane on reports of smoke and fire coming from the front of a home.

Firefighters arrived, finding “a significant amount of fire showing from the residence” and an electrical line to the home dropped across the roadway, officials said.
