BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA — Gas prices in Birmingham rose slightly over the past week, a rare increase after several weeks of declines, according to new data from GasBuddy.
The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Birmingham increased 1.1 cents in the last week, now averaging $2.50 per gallon based on a survey of 550 stations across the metro area. Even with the uptick, prices remain 15 cents lower than a month ago and 24.4 cents lower than this time last year.
