Spartanburg Co. drivers face detours as crews work to repair failed waterline

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – An Upstate water company is slated to begin making repairs Monday to a waterline that failed in late December. Those repairs will require a series of detours for drivers in Spartanburg County.

Spartanburg Water representatives told 7NEWS they’re repairing a waterline that failed and created a massive sinkhole near the intersection of Chesnee Highway (Highway 221) and Elm Street in Spartanburg on December 5th. There are now multiple detours in place.
