PSP Wilkes-Barre offer $5,000 reward in search for missing woman last seen a year ago

WILKES – BARRE, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman who has been missing for more than a year, offering a $5,000 reward for information that helps solve the case.

Investigators with the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation say Lauren Steele was 36 years old at the time of her disappearance. She was last known to be staying at a hotel in Carlisle, Cumberland County, in August 2024. According to police, her final contact with family occurred on August 5, 2024.

Steele is originally from New York and has previously lived in Virginia before moving to Pennsylvania within the past year. Investigators believe she may have traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, though her current whereabouts remain unknown…
