Photos: CHP patrol car rear-ended on I-680 in East Bay

(KRON) — A California Highway Patrol (CHP) patrol vehicle was rear-ended Sunday morning in Fremont, the agency posted on social media. The vehicle was struck at around 11:45 a.m. on I-680 near S. Mission Boulevard.

There were no injuries from the crash, CHP said. The crash happened while the Bay Area dealt with a storm and wet roads.

CHP posted video (above) of crews responding to the scene of the crash. Three civilian vehicles were involved in the crash, according to the video. There were two Teslas and a blue Toyota SUV. Damage could be seen on the rear of the CHP patrol vehicle.
