CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — An inmate at the Cumberland County Prison died Friday, according to a county spokesperson.
When correctional officers discovered Melissa Trayer, 53, unresponsive in her cell at 2:50 p.m., they began lifesaving efforts right away, the spokesperson said.
Soon, emergency medical responders arrived at 3:05 p.m. and also tried lifesaving efforts; however, Trayer was pronounced dead, the spokesperson said.
