A Leesburg woman and man will appear in court next week for allegedly skip-scanning $36 worth of merchandise at Walmart.
An officer responded to Walmart, located at 2501 Citrus Blvd., regarding a theft around 8:55 a.m. Dec. 21, according to a case report from the Leesburg Police Department. He met with loss prevention in their office along with 47-year-old Pedro Morales and 39-year-old Ivelisse Sanchez.
The pair of suspects advised that they tried to scan all their items, but there must have been an issue with the scanner. They also stated they would not steal $36.74 in merchandise when they paid for the rest of their things, the report said…
