Pensacola’s long-awaited New Palafox project officially begins today after crews spent the weekend preparing several blocks of the downtown street for the start of construction.
The $10.7 million project will transform the street with expanded sidewalks, new landscaping and trees, brick-paved intersections, pedestrian safety features and an upgraded stormwater system.
