Holiday returns made easy with tips from the Better Business Bureau

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The holidays are over, and as we get back to work or school, returns are on our minds. That sweater your grandma got you that isn’t your style, or that double gift, are all probably on your to-do list to return, and the Better Business Bureau has tips to make sure your return is perfect.

Experts are calling January “Return-uary.” The National Retail Federation expects this month to be a peak period for gift returns and exchanges, with about 17% of holiday sales being returned.

Stores across the nation are prepping for a busy return season. Experts with the Better Business Bureau say the quicker you return, the better. Some stores may extend their return windows during the holidays to accommodate shoppers, but most have a 30-day policy. Make sure the item you plan to return is unopened or has the original tags…
