Coroner identifies 2 dead in Christmas Day murder-suicide

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a man and woman who died in an apparent murder-suicide on Christmas Day in northeast Bakersfield.

They were identified as Pedro Juan Rivera Gonzalez, 49, and Francis B Lainez Romero, 55, both of Bakersfield, according to the coroner’s office.

The cause and manner of their deaths is pending, a coroner’s release said. Autopsies will determine the cause and manner of their deaths.
