Akron school board swears in 3 new members as district looks to stabilize leadership

AKRON, Ohio — Akron Public Schools is ushering in new leadership with the swearing-in of four members to the Board of Education, a move district leaders hope will bring stability after a turbulent year at the top.

The ceremony was held Monday evening at Garfield Community Learning Center, where three newly elected members and one returning board member officially took the oath of office.
