Red Springs taps former North Carolina Highway Patrol officer as new police chief

RED SPRINGS, N.C. (WBTW) — A former North Carolina Highway Patrol officer and detective has been named next police chief in Red Springs, the town announced Monday.

Antoinette Locklear Hurtt, whose first day was Monday, is a Robeson County native and member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina.
