Carrie Edwards-Clemons named new chief of Lansing Fire Dept.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Lansing Mayor Andy Schor has nominated Interim Chief Carrie Edwards-Clemons to lead the Lansing Fire Department.

“Chief Carrie Edwards-Clemons has been an incredible leader within the LFD ranks for the past couple of years. I have enjoyed working with her and have been impressed with her leadership and organization while serving as the Assistant Fire Chief. I’ve also heard from many in the Fire Department, those serving on the Fire Board, members of the City Council, and residents who are just as impressed and support her promotion to Chief,” Mayor Schor stated in a news release sent to 6 News.

“Chief Edwards-Clemons has dedicated her career to serving communities and working to keep residents safe, and I am confident that she will be a great leader for LFD.”…
