Community holds candlelight vigil for 14-year-old hit and run victim

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The community, friends and family gathered on Saturday evening to hold a candlelight vigil to remember the life of Marcus Anderson, the 14-year-old boy who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run on Dec. 28.

Dozens of community members met at the site of the incident on Ferguson and Glade Avenues, recalling memories they had of the young teen, praying and honoring his life.

“He’d always do some type of smirk. It’s just literally a Marcus smirk to those who were like, really close with him. But you know, the Marcus smirk, he had a smile. He had a little smile.”

The two men involved in the hit-and-run were arrested and have been charged with tampering with evidence and obstruction…
