JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Help is now available for those struggling to pay their utility bills.
The Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment announced Jan. 5 that the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program is now open in all 75 counties.
To apply, residents must provide the following:
- A photo ID
- Social Security card for household members age 18 or older
- Social Security numbers for household minors
- Copies of most recent utility bills
- Proof of income
- Proof of residency (current utility bills)
- Additional information or documents may be required to determine eligibility.
