Whataburger is kicking off 2026 with a bang! The Monterey Melt has returned, and this is my second favorite item on the menu. My favorite menu item from Whataburger is the Patty Melt, add grilled jalapenos. I should do a year-end recap of how many patty melts I ordered in 2025. The Monterey Melt is a double meat cheeseburger with Monterey Jack and American cheeses, plus grilled onions and peppers. I also add grilled jalapenos to this menu option. Along with the Monterey Melt, also making a return to the Whataburger menu for a limited time is the Chicken Fajita Taco.
Other favorites are missed on the Whataburger menu.
