Trial underway for suspect in deadly stabbing on an Albuquerque city bus

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A trial is underway for a suspect accused of a deadly stabbing that occurred back in February on a city bus.

Charles Madrid, 19, is accused of getting into a fight with a 44-year-old man on a city bus, near Central and Coors. Madrid is accused of stabbing the man in the neck, killing him.

Madrid reportedly told police he walked to school after the stabbing and asked school staff for a ride home. They say the principal contacted officers and officers arrested Madrid at home…
