ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — New York State’s annual celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will take place on Wed., Jan. 14 at the Empire State Plaza. The public is invited to the free event.
The Be a King Volunteer Fair starts at 10 a.m. on the Empire State Plaza Concourse. It will feature representatives from civic and community organizations who will share ways for people to become involved in their work and give back to others.

Doors for the evening event will open at 5:30 p.m., with a welcome reception at the base of the Egg Performing Arts Center, and the official program will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.
