Woman charged in Livonia crash that killed 3-year-old, injured his sister and mom to be sentenced

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – The woman accused of killing a 3-year-old boy and injuring his twin sister and mother in a hit-and-run crash in Livonia is expected to be sentenced on Tuesday.

Tammy Sandoval, 55, of Mt. Morris, was charged with the following:

  • One count of operating while license suspended, revoked, or denied- causing death
  • Two counts of operating while license suspended, revoked or denied- causing serious injury
  • One count of failure to stop at the scene of an accident while at fault- causing death
  • Two counts of failure to stop at the scene of an accident- causing serious impairment

The crash happened at about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, on Merriman Road near Lyndon Street in Livonia.
