Jackson man sentenced in 2024 Lansing teen homicide

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Xavian Soto, a Jackson man charged in the killing of a Lansing teenager in the fall of 2024, has been sentenced.

Soto, 20, was sentenced Monday after being convicted of second-degree homicide, along with a concurrent charge of carrying a concealed weapon, to 20 years and 10 months to 58 years and four months in prison.

He also received an additional two-year sentence for a felony firearm conviction, bringing his total sentence to 22 years and 10 months to a maximum of 60 years and four months…
