MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead after being critically injured in a single-vehicle crash accident from hitting a light pole near the North Memphis area Monday night.
Officers say they responded to a crash around 11:50 p.m. at Jackson Avenue and Charles Place.
Investigators said a Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on Jackson Avenue when it crossed over into the westbound lanes of Jackson and Charles Place.
Police reported that the Altima was traveling westbound for a short distance when it struck a curb in the median of Jackson Avenue, crossed over into the eastbound lanes of Jackson Avenue, and then hit another curb on the south side of Jackson Avenue.
