GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The District Attorney General’s Office of Frederick H. Agee for the 28th Judicial District said in a press release that there were no murders reported in 2025 for the following counties: Crockett, Gibson, and Haywood.
The D.A.’s office stated that, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Tennessee Incident-Based Reporting System (TIBRS) data that dates back to 2002, this is the first time in at least two decades that the 28th Judicial District did not have at least one reported murder.
Out of 32 Judicial Districts in Tennessee, the press release said the 28th Judicial District was the only one with no murders.
