CDC cuts childhood vaccine list, sparking healthcare professionals’ concerns

EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced a significant change in its childhood vaccination recommendations, reducing the list from 17 routine vaccines to 11.

This shift has raised concerns among healthcare professionals, including Dr. Alison Days, a pediatrician and medical director at Healthy Days Pediatrics.

“My big concern is that the fallout will be fewer kids vaccinated against things they really should be vaccinated,” Dr. Days said. “And that means probably more people getting diseases that they shouldn’t be getting.”…
