AVA, Mo. — U.S. Forest Service firefighters are working a nearly 700-acre fire in Christian County this week.
According to the Mark Twain National Forest, the Math Branch Fire in the Swan Creek area is approximately 70% contained as of Monday, Jan. 5, and is expected to be fully contained by the end of the week.
The fire was reported on Saturday, Jan. 3, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
