Washington — Snowflakes begin to thicken in the air this morning across the Inland Northwest, sticking to windshields and sidewalks as Winter Weather tightens its grip on Spokane. Roads look wet now, but conditions are expected to deteriorate quickly as snow intensity increases later today.

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from late morning through the evening for Spokane’s higher elevations. Snow accumulations of up to two inches are possible, especially in areas like Airway Heights, Fairchild, Rockford, Cheney, Spokane Valley, and Davenport. Temperatures hovering near freezing will allow snow to accumulate efficiently during heavier bursts…
