BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – A man has been convicted of statutory rape in Buncombe County, the district attorney’s office said.
The district attorney’s office said that Wilver Estuardo Ramirez-Perez, 22, was convicted Monday by Buncombe County Superior Court. Officials said Ramirez-Perez was more than four but less than six years older than the victim.
His active sentence is 44 to 65 months in the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections. The district attorney’s office says he is subject to deportation after his sentence is completed.
