52 people arrested following drug operation in Alabama

ALABAMA — The Chambers County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force arrested 52 people on a total of 102 charges during a three-month drug enforcement operation conducted from October through December 2025, authorities announced.

According to law enforcement officials, the operation ran from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2025, and involved coordinated efforts by the Chambers County Drug Task Force, Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force, Chambers County Multi-Jurisdictional SWAT Team, Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, and the police departments of Valley, Lafayette and Lanett. During that time, officers carried out numerous investigations, traffic stops and search warrants, including the execution of two search warrants.

Authorities said the arrests stemmed from offenses involving a range of controlled substances, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, crack cocaine, synthetic drugs and prescription pills. Many of those arrested also face charges related to marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia. Several individuals were charged with trafficking or intent to distribute methamphetamine, and some were additionally charged under laws prohibiting certain individuals from possessing firearms…
