OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL) – The search for 4-year-old Johnathan Everett Boley in Walker County and the heartbreaking outcome has prompted questions across Alabama about when an AMBER Alert is issued and why it was not used in this case.
Johnathan was reported missing on December 31, 2025, after last being seen near Highway 195 in Jasper. Authorities issued an Emergency or Endangered Missing Child Alert, a distinction that later became the focus of public scrutiny.
