LYON COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) – The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is giving more details on what led up to the death of a man that they arrested on New Year’s Eve.
He’s now being identified as 75-year-old Dean Hendricks of Dayton.
The sheriff’s office says it received evidence that Hendricks had previously been convicted of a sexual offense against a minor in Washington, and never registered in Nevada. Around 2:15 p.m. on December 31, members of the Sex Offender Task Force contacted Hendricks at his home. They say, he confirmed he had never registered and deputies placed him under arrest.
