INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana congressman Rep. Jim Baird was released from the hospital Tuesday night after he and his wife were injured in a crash in Washington, D.C.
“We are pleased to share that Congressman Jim Baird was discharged after less than 24 hours in the hospital, and his wife Danise continues to receive excellent care as she recovers,” Baird’s office said in a social media post on his account. “Rep. Jim Baird and his family expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support, and he thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes.”

Beau Baird, one of Jim and his wife Danise’s sons, said in a social media post Tuesday evening that his father “walked away with nothing more than some road rash and bruising. We are incredibly grateful.”…
