According to court records filed in Lake County, Battles was charged after an incident that reportedly occurred on or around Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 7700 block of Mississippi Street, in Merrillville.
A probable cause affidavit states police were dispatched to the hotel on January 4, 2026, in reference to a domestic disturbance that reportedly occurred the previous evening involving a husband and wife.
