A 16-year-old Michigan boy, Alexander Johnson, sustained severe leg injuries on December 23, 2025, while jump-starting a stranded 16-year-old girl’s car at Van Born Road and John Daly Street in Dearborn Heights, when another driver rear-ended it, crushing him between vehicles.​

Alexander was en route to buy eggs for his grandmother around 5:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve eve when he stopped to assist.
