No charges are expected after woman hit, killed by driver in Fayetteville, police say

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver Wednesday morning in Fayetteville.

The incident occurred near Gillespie Street and West Mountain Drive shortly before 3 a.m. Officers from the Fayetteville Police Department arrived at the scene to find Hillary Lee Jarman, 41, of Fayetteville, lying in the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined that Jarman was struck by a 2001 Dodge Durango. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with authorities, and no charges are expected, according to FPD…
